The rock is approximately 348 metres high and is situated about 450 kilometres south-west of Alice Springs.  This huge monolith is 9 kilometres in circumference. This region is very hot and dry but in spite of this many people just have to see this mysterious place, which becomes less and less mysterious year by year.
