Hastings is an attractive fishing port in Western Port Bay a great mecca for serious fishermen and a very popular holiday spot for those who like to live the quiet life.  It is a very good place to retire in because of the close proximity to Melbourne.  For some reason the weather is generally very much better than the city.  This is true!
